biography Willow was born the first of two daughters to the Dixons, a family with a foot in each world- both magic and muggle. Elma wasn't sure what to expect from her first child, often anxious and overbearing, especially as Willow began displaying signs of magic from a young age. However, by the time Giselle was a small child and also developed the same traits, she had learned and accepted what it meant for her, as a muggle woman, to be surrounded by magic. Willow was a precautious child, snapping up books and hobbies and friends as quickly as she could get them. What she stuck to most, however, was music. She had a knack for it, and thus her parents promptly forced her into piano lessons- a proper instrument for their little lady. But she wasn't content to stop there, and by the time she went to Hogwarts and was sorted into Ravenclaw, Willow was quick to try anything she could get her hands on in the band room. The first wizarding war, however, threatened to rip everything away, and in some ways, it did just that. Willow was only a second year during the battle of Hogwarts, and was quickly whisked away before the thick of the attack began- she still remembers huddling in a cellar in Hogsmeade with her classmates, the air thick with fear. Fear, which in Willow's case, was justifiable. Jasper Dixon was discovered amongst the casualties when the dust settled. As the world began to repair and heal, the Dixons were thrown into mourning. Willow didn't handle it well. She crumbled under the pressure of the emotional pain and needing to be an example for her little sister- her grades faltered, and she started getting into trouble. A detention with the exhasperated band teacher, however, gave her the outlet she was looking for. Willow took up guitar at fifteen, and learned with gusto, pouring out her feelings through the strings. While she never reverted to being a model student, Willow did manage to graduate with decent marks in her NEWTs, but had her sights set far from academia. She'd long dreamed for the spotlight, but it was fickle and hard to break into the scene. Willow joined a small group of young women playing metal in underground venues, clawing for every chance they could get. It was a rough lifestyle, but Willow didn't mind the grind, the living out of vans and rationing change for crap food, she loved the highs of performing, partying, sex, and drugs. Through sheer dumb luck, the group (dubbed Cunthulu) finally got their break. It was a whirlwind of attention, music, and fame, they quickly developed a cult following- but it unfortunately only seemed to be fifteen minutes of fame, with a tragic end. Sophie, the group's vocalist, died suddenly of an overdose, and the remaining members disbanded in their grief. Willow floundered, suddenly again in the thick of mourning, and spent a few years burning through her savings, and a few stints in rehab, trying to figure her life out again. She found Brand New Heart by chance, lacking a lead guitarist. The fit was nothing short of perfect- the band becoming something of a makeshift dysfunctional family. But, as always, just as things were looking up, tragedy struck again. This time in the form of a brutal vampire attack. Willow barely survived, and when she regained consciousness, left her humanity behind her. Willow is now searching again, trying to figure out her new life, and where she stands in the conflict she's inexpicably being pulled towards.
