biography camilo was born the fourth child of marcelina and severiano velasquez, loved from the moment he came into the world. the couple married young and had children swiftly after, excited for the chance to have a big, loving family. that they did; not only did they adore one another, but that adoration spilled over into the way they raised their children and the way their children treated one another. though the siblings fought as siblings tended to do, it mostly stemmed from the fact that they were so close- and there were so many of them. by the time marcelina and severiano stopped having (and adopting, in the case of one little boy) children, there were seven in total. it made for loud, rambunctious dinners and a childhood for camilo with built-in friends. shortly after camilo was born, the family moved to the uk on account of severiano's work from their home in columbia. with much of their extended family in the area, it was a natural move. it also put them closer to hogwarts; a magical school that, when the time came, camilo would be able to attend and get the magical education the rest of them didn't need. camilo's adopted brother, luciano, would end up attending as well, but they were the only two in the velasquez's large family that ended up with magic in their blood. though at first he was sad to attend hogwarts without his siblings, upon the realization that he'd have a friend in luciano, camilo excitedly prepared to attend the boarding school at eleven. camilo's amicable nature and loyalty made him a perfect candidate for hufflepuff. he made friends almost immediately, finding a home away from home with many of his classmates and even those outside of his house. he even met his best friend, marcel auclair, on the train the first day of their very first year. though he rather mediocre when it came to academics, he still passed all his classes and enjoyed his years growing up around the people he still considers a part of his family. after hogwarts, camilo flipped a coin about where he was going to accept a job at. he'd applied to a good many, but it was between the ministry and the daily prophet; the coin chose ministry. though he wasn't very passionate about it at first, camilo soon found his place within his current department and developed a knack for the job. he still lives in london, frequently visiting his family and enjoying it all as it goes. as far as he's concerned, he's had a great life. he'd like to make sure it stays that way.
