biography Magdalene "Maggie" Miller never saw herself as anything extraordinary - that was Kathleen's job. The older sister by only a few years, Maggie always felt a bit like a background character for her younger sister. Kath was always the center of attention, but not in any way that made Maggie envious - rather, it was like she had her own orbit, constantly pulling in others around her... Maggie included. As such, she didn't tend to care about her own life. She doted on her baby sister with the love and affection only a big sister could - she did the same to Charlie when he was born, though his Squib status would drive a rift between them that nothing could solve. When Charlie pulled away, jealous of his sisters' magic, Maggie only had Kath to fall back on. The pair of girls were both Sorted into Gryffindor, and both thrived in the school environment. Neither needed to aspire to anything, being of notable Pureblood stock - in fact, it seemed as though their mother wanted them to not drive themselves towards employment. They were set for life with a hefty inheritance from both the Miller and Xavier side of the family. But, that didn't stop either woman from wanting to do something with their lives. Both girls graduated from Hogwarts, with Kath going off and finding the love of her life in Malcolm Preece. Maggie set her sights on working a simple job just to pass the time, and settled into a routine as a waitress at Madame Puddifoot's. She bought herself a cottage next to Hogsmeade, and spent much of her youth within the square. She was the maid of honor in her sister's wedding, and, when Kath got pregnant, insisted on being not only aunt but godmother to her future nephew. Benny was perfect in every way, and Maggie doted on him heavily once he was born... but, the bliss wasn't meant to last. Maggie got a call shortly after Benny was born from St. Mungo's, stating that her beloved sister and her husband had been killed by Death Eaters. Maggie immediately took in Benny as her own, and joined the Order of the Phoenix shortly thereafter, determined to bring those that had killed her sister and brother-in-law to justice in her own little way. Maggie continues to raise Benny as her own, spending her days within the same village square that she's called home for over half her life. The destruction of Madame Puddifoot's in the Hogsmeade attacks only fueled her anger towards the war, though she was lucky in that she was able to rebuild with ease. Maggie has begun to get involved in politics, if only to better the world for her nephew, as well as to help the other unfortunate souls devasted by the attack on the village.
