biography zephyrus likes to tell people that his childhood was a blur because it was too good to remember the details. it’s a philosophy he has lived by since; live your life to the point that the bad things become minor details. the only issue with said philosophy is, though his childhood wasn’t bad, it certainly wasn’t the easy perfection he likes to make it seem. zeph was born the second son and child to rhea and mattias sinclair, soon followed by his two younger siblings. as children, he liked to think they were all rather close. he found comfort in his older brother, who taught him about the way society expects you to maintain power and how to punch right. though he liked to tussle cybele’s hair until she screeched, he still would watch what she stared at in shops so that it would be on her lap on her birthday. theia, a product of his brother’s arrogance, was the one he was able to go back and forth with the most. their sharp wits were dangerous when they worked in harmony. during this time, zephyrus began to realize what was expected of him as a pureblood. his parents were lovely, kind, and nurturing; but they did have high expectations for their children. despite not being the heir, zephyrus was no exception. in school he did well, though not exceptionally. his grades were well enough that he didn’t have to worry his parents nor his teachers. often times, however; his time was more frequently spent in the band room. alchemy tests fell to the wayside in favor of learning a new instrument, a hobby that he began to pick up at ridiculous speeds. before he graduated, he already knew how to play five with commendable accuracy. it was a month and a half before he was set to graduate hogwarts that it happened. his mother had been getting progressively more ill, though the severity of such was harder to understand when he spent nine months out of the year away from home. she spent the last few months of her life confined to her bed, with zeph getting permission to visit when he could. his parents were insistent such a thing didn’t interfere with their studies. it was a muggle disease, after all. muggle diseases could be fixed. five days after he had visited her last, zephyrus was told his mother passed away from cancer. he graduated, and though his siblings were all there, it was hardly a cause for celebration. they were still mourning and getting used to this startling loss. zeph, who never fully learned how to process those emotions, didn’t know how to deal with it. he simply chose not to instead. whereas his brother and oldest sister fell into line with the pureblood norm, zeph ran from those expectations. he achieved greatness in another way; by making a name for himself as a solo musician in the greater london area. he made friends, had flings, and really began to embrace the “freedom” aspect that came with that lifestyle. eventually he was introduced to alessandro, who he now performs alongside with the bleeding sirens. though he’s not the pureblood his parents perhaps had once envisioned, there’s no denying that he’s become something. now he lives a life of fame and frivolity, enjoying the moments as they come and never, ever, lingering on the bad. it’s gotten him this far.
