biography Perenelle, as the baby of the Harlowe family, never wanted for anything... at least, not really. Though her parents rarely made enough money to spoil her in the way that they desired, she grew up loved and with a boundless imagination. Along with her elder siblings, she made due with what she was given, and never complained about it. The love of her parents was more than enough. Even from an early age, a love of animals was apparent. Nelle made friends with every stray cat that ever wandered into the property, and nursed injured birds and rabbits back to health. Though it sometimes drove her mother insane, finding random animals in shoeboxes in her room, it was where Nelle's passions lie. So, despite some scolding and the inability to ever lie about what she was up to, Eileen and Michael encouraged their youngest to flourish. She received her letter to Hogwarts, as did the rest of her siblings, on her 11th birthday. Given her January birth month, she had plenty of time to anticipate the shift to school. She was Sorted into Gryffindor, much to her parents' surprise, for they'd pegged her as something softer given her nurturing nature. However, it quickly became apparent that she was a lion through and through due to her impulsivity and seeming disregard for her own safety at times. Perenelle took to Care of Magical Creatures like a fish out of water and, for a while, it seemed as though she might intern in the position. However, while working at the Magical Menagerie, she'd been offered the ability to manage the store for a while. It was there that she'd met her future husband, Victor. It was a passionate, whirlwind of a romance, one that netted four beautiful daughters. As her children grew, Nelle began to house and groom all manner of animals in her lush, country home. When her eldest was only 6, she expanded into what would eventually be called the Happy Tails Daycare and Spa. It all had the potential to be tarnished by the failure of her marriage, however. Nelle had been too stubborn to see the cracks in the foundation from the beginning, with Victor seeming to always put his work first. By the time she was pregnant with Lyra, Victor's infidelity had come out. Though she'd never admit it, Lyra was, in part, a last ditch effort to save her marriage - one that did not work out. Nelle filed for divorce rather quickly, coming out decently on the other side. Though her love life is all but nonexistent now, and she is the sole caretaker of her four young daughters, Nelle is managing fine with the help and support of her parents, clinging to her children and her business to keep her afloat.
