DRASTIC CHANGES: ARTAIN'S "FAIRY GODMOTHER"

Artain has lost everything - yet again. From his birth mother when he was a baby to the first love he ever had, and now his livelihood has burnt to the ground. While he is rebuilding Scrivenshaft's and has discovered he has more than a few half-siblings, the only part of his life that remains rather incomplete is his romantic life. Known for being more than a little reserved and perhaps a bit gruff around the edges, Artain hasn't really grasped how to be a romantic or the art of seduction. Then, he meets this character - his "fairy godmother" for all intents and purposes. This person is perhaps a bit of a player where romance is concerned, engaging in casual affairs and one-night stands regularly. They come across Artain and decide to help him - likely out of a sense of pity. With this character's help, Artain will go through a transformation - both physically and mentally - and views the circumstances of his life differently.
Eventually, this character will be the one to set him up on a blind date with cordelia lou norville , and this will lead to their eventual romance with one another, but Artain has to be pushed out of his comfort zone in order to make any sense of progress beyond being hung up over the dead woman that he loved.
Most details (gender, alliance, relationship situation, etc.) pertaining to this request are flexible, but the character is in the same age range as Artain (36) by being in their thirties.
