biography Born as a squib, Vittoria Romani was never fully accepted by her pureblood wizard family. She didn't mind that much, as it meant she got to do her own thing, and live her own life. It was during her college years that she fell in love with Emilio Borelli, the son of an Italian tailor, and a man who had been in an incident involving the Wizarding World when he was a child. This led Emilio to develop a strong hatred towards the Wizarding World and all that involved it. When he met the Romani family, and saw the way they treated the woman that he loved, this hatred only grew. The young couple married after getting their college degree, and a few years later, they welcomed their son Gabriele. They formed a happy little family until Gabriele turned four, as it was on his fourth birthday that Gabriele started to show signs of magic. It was then that Gabriele's father started to hate him, the two of them growing more and more distant over the years. While their family wasn't the happy little family that they used to be, at least the three of them tolerated each other. It was when Gabriele received his Hogwarts letter that all hell broke loose. His father told him he would not be welcome at home anymore if he decided to enrol in the Wizarding School to learn how to control magic. While Gabriele didn't want to be completely cut off from his family, being at Hogwarts seemed better than having to live with his father. Every year, his mother convinced his father that Gabriele could come home for the summer, and every summer, Gabriele returned to his hometown in Italy. Being around his emotionally, and increasingly physically abusive father was rough, but it was better than never getting to see his mother again, who he had maintained a good relationship with all those years. Besides, if he didn't return home during the summer, he had nowhere else to go. It was last year that he returned home to Italy earlier than expected, because the school year ended earlier than normally. This enraged his father so badly, that Gabriele knew this was the last straw. A few nights after he returned home, his father and him got into a big fight, and that same night, Gabriele packed his bags and returned to London, bruised and beat up. Having nowhere to go, he rented a room in the cheapest hostel he could find, and started another job next to the one he was already working during the school year, so that he could provide for himself and pay his rent.
