A Weasley through and through, Rory inherited the typical Gryffindor traits from her father. Courageous to the point of recklessness, loyal to a fault, and ready to fight for what's right at a moment's notice. Also like Charlie, they have a fondness and affinity for outdoorsmanship, they enjoy time spent outside and with creatures (dragons especially) above most other activities. Her intelligence is not at all related to academia, Rory's generally poor marks are a reflection of this, she too struggles in social interactions despite her outgoing nature- and is frequently the butt of jokes, often without realizing it. biography Aurora Weasley began life as something of a surprise. Charlie and Laura had been quite content with two children, one girl and a boy, Celeste and Atlas, and hadn't been considered trying for a third child when Laura suddenly became pregnant again almost a decade after their first child. Regardless of the lack of planning, however, they were thrilled to welcome a second daughter on a crisp October morning. As she grew older, Rory (as she was affectionately dubbed) followed closely after her father and older sister, seeing the majesty in the dragons which fascinated them, and developing a fondness for nature. They spent much of their childhood outdoors, learning how to exist mindfully in the world from their father. While not outwardly especially gifted in magic, it still came as little surprise when Rory received their Hogwarts letter at eleven. Less surprising still was her following Weasley tradition and being sorted into Gryffindor. A bit socially awkward despite her friendly and outgoing nature, Rory didn't end up terribly popular amongst her peers, but made a close-knit group with her dearest friends Benson and Helena, the three of them more often than not being in one another's company. As preteens are wont to do through puberty, Rory hit something of an awkward stage, having difficulty finding the words for her identity as the other girls embraced womanhood- which she felt only a distant connection to at the best of times, others it felt foreign entirely. It was Helena who they confided in first, afraid of rejection, though their dearest friend was a wealth of knowledge as always, and became the one to help them find the words they needed to express themselves. At the end of fourth year, Rory came out as genderfluid, feeling the label adequately described the ebb and flow of her relationship with her gender. Finally finding confidence in themself, Rory continued through the next two years more openly than before- joining the Quidditch team and picking up a few more hobbies and classes. The state of the world and the mounting war have threatened this, especially following heavy losses to the Potter and Weasley families, but ever the unfounded optimist, Rory has yet to give up hope, and is looking for ways to take up the fight.
