THE SON THEY WANTED: AVA'S HALF-BROTHER
ROBERT CLARKE-WESTON || MALE || 20-25|| ROSHON FEGAN
Isabelle Clarke and Alexander Weston met jus before Ava turned five years old. Isabelle was working at Flourish and Blotts at the time to support herself and her daughter, and Alexander was an up-and-comer in the Ministry. It was love at first sight for them, and they were married within the year. Ava was brought into the folds of the new family and treated well, though Isabelle and Alexander soon started trying to have children of their own.
Robert Clarke-Weston was the first child born to Isabelle and Alexander; immediately, he was the apple of their eyes, the darling son they had always wanted. Ava was still loved by her mother and stepfather, of course, but from then on it was always clear who was their child and who was Isabelle's only, who was the human child and who was the half-werewolf. When Sylvia was born a few years later, it only became worse. Alexander claimed he loved all three of his children equally, but it was always clear to Ava where his love truly lied.
Robert likely never realized the favoritism his parents played when he was little; he only saw Ava as his big sister, his rock, his favorite playmate. It wasn't until he was older, entering his tweens and teens, that he realized the advantage he had. From then on, Robert used his father's favoritism to his advantage, always finding a way to pin his mistakes and missteps on his half-sister. Robert was always more than a little spoiled, given anything he could ever want, and figuring out his father would always be willing to believe his half-werewolf stepchild had made a mistake more than himself was something Robert was always willing to exploit for his own gain and amusement.
As soon as Ava graduated Hogwarts and found a place of her own, Ava began distancing herself from her family. Though she keeps in touch with her mother, it's likely she has all but severed contact with Robert and the rest of the family entirely. With the emergence of more and more of her half-siblings through her father, Ava is finally finding a family that wants her to be a part of it, a family that loves her wholly and without condition, and it could be the last shove Ava needs to cut off her half-siblings and stepfather entirely.

THE DAUGHTER THEY WANTED: AVA'S HALF-SISTER
SYLVIA CLARKE-WESTON || FEMALE || 18-24 || CHINA ANNE MCCLAIN
By the time Sylvia was born, Ava had more or less accepted the way things were in the Clarke-Weston house. She was the child her mother had never really wanted, the one born out of a traumatic experience. Robert, and then Sylvia, were the children her mother had always wanted, the ones born to the husband she loved. Isabelle never treated her eldest daughter any different, but her husband did. Alexander might not have even been aware of the way he treated his stepdaughter versus his biological children, but it was always clear to Ava how he viewed her versus his blood children.
Sylvia, unlike her brother, never saw Ava as anything more than her big sister. She looked up to Ava in more ways than one, wanting to follow in Ava's footsteps. She noticed the different way her sister was treated from a young age and grew to detest it, though had no way to change it or call her father out on it.
When Ava began distancing herself from the Clarke-Weston family, it likely came as no big shock to Sylvia, but that doesn't mean it didn't hurt. Ava was still her big sister, still someone Sylvia looked up to. Sylvie was just beginning at Hogwarts, maybe not even started yet, when Ava graduated and started putting some space between herself and her family. Sylvia has no doubt tried to keep in touch with Ava, though Ava has been too hurt by her treatment as a child to put much effort into her relationship with Sylvia.
With certain events that will transpire in the future, it could be that Ava tries to mend her relationship with her family, starting with Sylvia. In Ava's mind, Sylvia and their mother are the only ones who never treated her like a freak or like someone who didn't belong. With the rise of the Greyback siblings and pack, family will be becoming more and more important to Ava, and Sylvia may just have a place in that family yet.
