Gender of their firstborn never mattered to Michael and his wife. When June, their baby girl, was born, Michael was overjoyed. She took after her mother in so many ways, which Michael considered a blessing. Michael made sure that his children, unlike him, were able to attend school to hone their magical abilities. June was the first sent off to Hogwarts, and she made the best of her education. She pushed, hard, and graduated with high marks. A couple years out of Hogwarts, June settled down and got married. Though many in higher circles suspected her of marrying for money, June and her husband were very much in love. She used some of his money to create her own business, which is now faring incredibly well and has supported the lush life she lives. June is not entirely resentful of the lacking means she grew up with, but she hasn't exactly thought of using the wealth she has built to create a better life for her parents. Now, June has a child (or children) of her own, and she is starting to learn the importance of parental figures.

Ryan followed June by a few years, becoming Michael's only son. Michael had little fortune to give any of his children, so Ryan certainly learned to appreciate the little things in life from an early age. Like his siblings, he was sent to Hogwarts, but he didn't exactly enjoy school. The only reason he tried at all was because his parents expressed how much education was important to them - and he felt guilt at taking for granted an opportunity that his father never got. His grades were decent enough, and he got a job out of school that paid enough to allow him to marry and have children. He and his spouse, as well as their children, visit Michael and his wife semi-frequently, if only to provide Michael time with his grandchildren. Ryan is unhappy with his current job and life, but it allows him to live the way he does, so he pushes through it.

Brooklyn is the youngest of Michael's children, and life seemed to be going perfectly for her. She graduated Hogwarts with excellent marks, but instead chose to be married quickly, immediately settling down with a muggle doctor. Brooklyn started having children very early, and has provided Michael with both his first grandchild and the majority of his grandchildren, having more children of her own than her siblings combined. It seemed like her life was absolutely perfect - her husband provided for her with his incredible wealth, her children were utter angels, and she spent her time looking after them. Still, on the inside, Brooklyn's life was falling apart at the seams. It's only just come to light that she and her husband are getting divorced, and Brooklyn will have very little, if anything, to provide for herself with financially. She's desperately trying to find a place to work and put a roof over her head so that she can still provide for her children during her time with them. Brooklyn is the closest daughter to Michael and his wife, bringing her children by almost every weekend to spend time with their grandparents.
