John Dawlish was once known as an excellent wizard, commended by all for receiving an "Outstanding" on every single one of his O.W.L.s, quickly gaining notoriety and paving a path to success based on his academic prowess. However, despite his skilled academics, John supported the Death Eaters and helped to execute the agenda of the Ministry when it was controlled by the group during the Second Wizarding War. While not a Death Eater himself, the ideals of it appealed greatly to his pureblood raising. As a former Auror, he was responsible for capturing many muggleborn witches and wizards. The irony is, no one knew that this pureblood man married a halfblood halfbreed. Helen Riton was a werewolf at the time she married John, pretending to be a pureblood, and she kept her secret through her three pregnancies - Wesley, @dinah , and maeve estella dawlish . At the end of the war, Kingsley Shacklebolt had John arrested, and he's spent the last couple decades in Azkaban. By now, he's heard about his wife's lies - though she has long since fled and changed her name. Still, his children remain, and all are half-werewolves. With John's release, he will likely be hunting for them, and Wesley, as the eldest, will do his best to protect his sisters.
