Avice is the quintessential representative of her former Beauxbatons house, incredibly warm and idealistic, she views the world seemingly through rose-colored glasses. She wants to see the best in everyone, often finding optimism where other cannot. Highly intelligent, Avice is gifted particularly in language pursuits, new languages and runes coming to her more naturally than anything- but her intelligence stops fully with books, making her rather gullible and naive. Passionate and emotional, Avice feels emotions both good and bad deeply, and is quick to express what she's feeling. biography Avice, as with all of Fenrir Greyback's biological children, had a violent beginning. At only sixteen, her mother was targeted by the werewolf when attempting to evade snatchers in the second wizarding war. Amoli escaped, but weeks later learned of a pregnancy as a result. Conflicted, she kept the child, and resolved to never tell her daughter of her origins. Despite having a teenaged mother, Avice had a good childhood, raised by her grandparents as her mother finished schooling, eventually transitioning into living with her mother full time. When Avice was four, Amoli met and fell head over heels with Ganesh Joshi, the only son of a wealthy diplomat. Despite never formally adopting Avice, Ganesh was a doting stepfather, who was quick to spoil her- even going so far as to pay to send her to Beauxbatons when it came time for her to begin her own education. Avice's well-intentioned idealism, strong emotions, and penchant for arts made her a natural fit for Papillonlisse. In school Avice was largely a good student, earning high marks in most classes, and raising more than a few eyebrows with her schedule crammed full of electives, which left her little time for much else. Her school years passed in a blur of papers and books, and by the time graduation came Avice found herself feeling lost- having been unable to see the forest for the trees, and had little idea what to do with all the knowledge she accumulated. Avice returned to her mother and stepfather's home in Wales, taking a moment to figure out where her skills would best be applied. Using a connection through her stepfather, Avice eventually landed an internship within the Department of Runes and Symbols- where her skills for language and runes shined. She found she enjoyed the work, puzzling out clues left by ancient civilizations, but removed from the danger of professions such as cursebreaking. Avice worked her way through the ranks in the department, and now serves permanently as a translator. She has done her best to stay out of the war thus far, but a part of her that is deeply connected to it is about to be revealed...
