Life in the wizarding world has changed drastically. Muggle influences have a grip on the daily lifestyles of witches and wizards alike. Shopping alleys such as Diagon and Knockturn have taken back seats to more diverse shopping alleys for clothing, supplies, and weekend get-a-ways. Quidditch has seemed to lost its flare as an array of muggle professional sports draw the support of younger wizarding generations.
While there is a peaceful co-existence between magic and muggle, there is little for the current generations to strive for apart from being popular amongst their peers, having the latest fashion trends, or the best muggle fads. The generations who will not even acknowledge the extreme lengths to which their grandparents and great-grandparents had to go thru to survive an unjustified magical war. But that could all change in a swish and flick of a wand.
A great amount of time and patience has been taken with gaining back the trust of the muggle community in light of the previous War. The grandparents of Muggleborn Witches and Wizards that remember the darker years are still wary of the magical world ways despite their own children and grandchildren telling them that everything is alright.
Granted, there are still those muggle families who refuse to let magic be apart of their lives due to fear of the unknown. For those children who grow up within these family, their magical abilities are look upon as a curse. These children are often outcasted from their families at a young age. It has taken the Ministry of Magic a great deal of work to make sure that none of these young witches and wizards slip through the cracks. But even then, someone can and will always be left behind.
