biography despite being a halfblood, rosetta valeria halloway was, along with her twin sister jacqueline, raised according to the pureblood ideals of their father. they would marry the husband of their fathers choice and would side with the death eaters in whatever war that was to come. it was the summer after rosetta graduated hogwarts, when rosetta stepped out of the bar to catch a fresh breath of air and she was pulled into an alleyway where she was attacked by a werewolf. it was bad enough that she had to tell her parents she was attacked by a halfbreed, it was even worse to tell them that she was pregnant of a baby. a baby who would carry that halfbreed status herself. rosetta knee that she couldn’t raise a half-werewolf and therefore she decided to leave her daughter in an orphanage in edinburgh two days after she was born, without leaving her name for her daughter to find her if she wanted to. rosetta wanted nothing to do with the halfbreed that was her child. the baby didn’t even have a name when she was abandoned at the orphanage. when she was adopted at nine months old, by a loving couple who couldn’t have any children themselves, she was given the name ariel natalia mendlar. lena elizabeth mendlar and aeden cliff mendlar met when they were both at hogwarts together. both gryffindors and both having a passion for quidditch, they became friends in one of their first years. after graduating, they both went on to have a professional career in quidditch and eventually, they fell in love. even though they desperately wanted a child, after years of trying, lena found out that she was infertile. the couple didn't let something like that hold them back, so they decided to adopt a little girl from an orphanage in edinburgh. ariel was their pride and joy. ariel's parents didn't pass on their love for quidditch to their daughter. instead, ariel found herself a passion to heal people and from a young age she knew she wanted that to be part of her future occupation. after graduating from hogwarts, she started at st. mungo's as an intern and is now a nurse at the hospital. her adoptive parents never looked into her heritage, knowing little was known about her biological mother and completely nothing was known about her biological father. ariel never really looked into it either, until she realised she was different than others; she healed faster than others and was stronger and faster than others without having to do anything for it. she found out that she was part werewolf, which made complete sense to her. who her biological parents are is still a mystery to her. after the attack on the werewolves, she did decide that she wouldn't hide her halfbreed status, she would side with the children of the moon and try to use her blood status for something useful.
