Leleti is, to most, a quiet, unassuming sort of personality. She tends to keep her head down and her nose clean, and is accustomed to playing the role of the wallflower on most occasions. She can be painfully shy, but is very warm and gentle if approached. Leleti harbors a deep-seeded anxiety about not being good enough, leading her to harsh perfectionism and poor self-image. Passive to a fault, Leleti can be easy to boss around, she's very much a go with the flow sort of person, even at her own detriment. Confrontation is one of her biggest fears- she'd rather quietly put up with something that's bothering her than say anything about it. Meekness aside, however, Leleti has a quick wit and sarcastic sense of humor that only those really close to her get to see- making her one of the quiet ones to keep an eye on. family information
biography Leleti Truelove had a rocky beginning to life long before she could remember it. Omphile fell head over heels for an older bad boy- a half-blood whom her parents most certainly did not approve, the pair had a near Romeo and Juliet romance that ended abruptly upon the discovery of a teenage pregnancy. Enzokhule was quick to leave to avoid the responsibility. Omphile was not ready for motherhood at fifteen, much less for a child not pure of blood with her staunchly conservative parents in the picture, and the father of the child out of it. With her biological grandparents firm about not having a half-blood child in the home, Omphile gave her firstborn up for adoption- which is where the Trueloves came into the picture. A pair of muggles adopting a known witch might have been unheard of if it weren't for them having a magical son. Leleti came to the United Kingdom as a toddler, and immediately into the arms of loving parents who had always wanted a daughter, but had been unable to have their own due to Janet's bout of ovarian cancer. The Trueloves spoiled both their children, being wonderfully affectionate and doting parents- they answered Leleti's questions about where she came from truthfully as soon as she was old enough to understand. As she grew, she became quite close with her older brother Erik despite the age difference, eager to follow in his footsteps in music. To no surprise, Leleti received her Hogwarts letter at eleven- and upon arrival her curious nature and penchant for studying placed her into Ravenclaw. Generally quite shy, it took Leleti a while to find a foothold in the castle, her meekness making her easy to pick on, but she found a niche for herself- and moved from prime bullying target to being generally liked after scoring a spot on the Ravenclaw quidditch team in her fourth year. Leleti was thrilled when her brother was also hired at the school to teach the new band class, though as time progressed, enthusiasm began to wane due to horrible events. In March of 2021, Leleti's world was turned upside down after Death's release and the attack on Gryffindor tower- tensions had been mounting, and now had erupted. For the first time Leleti began to struggle with her school work due to worry over what was happening in the world- though trusted her parents and brother to be on the right side. Leleti, along with everyone else, was shocked at the loss of Harry Potter over the summer, though she's trying her best to stay strong in light of what's to come.
