biography The Raymon family, from the beginning, was that of nobility - they were not a member of the Sacred Twenty-Eight, but they may as well have been. With Aurelius as the future head of his family, with all dabbling and being involved in the Dark Arts, it was no surprise that he began to err on the edge of darkness. Aurelius, from a young age, was not a good person. He was overly righteous and, as a result, was at the top of the Pureblood food chain from the start. He was Sorted into Slytherin, like much of his family, and rose to the top of his class. In his fifth year, the Boy Who Lived entered Hogwarts - immediately lending to a dislike of the boy. He strayed away from joining the likes of the Death Eaters, not wanting to follow someone. It was much easier to do things on his own. At seventeen, his marriage was arranged to a wealthy Pureblood girl, whom he grew to tolerate. Love was never an option - only duty. They married shortly thereafter, and were with child at 20. Aurelius had joined the Ministry of Magic, training to and eventually becoming an Auror. He was forever corrupt, however, and frequently committed crimes outside of his station. He managed to get away with it for ten years before a young Auror by the name of Alex Mackenzie attempted to oust him. Aurelius, under the name Diaval, had been committing various crimes against wizarding and muggle kind, and Alex followed the trail to find him out. Aurelius was ousted from the Ministry, and a lifelong grudge began. He forged similar relationships with Elara Ellsworth and Aelizia Joyce, the former of which he continues to have a physical relationship with. All the while, as he was aging, Aurelius latched onto his niece, Esmeray. As the only child of his younger brother, her duties to the family were that much more important. He'd done the same to his own children - watching Esmeray turn dark and join the Death Eaters of her own accord was something to see. Now, however, he can tell she is beginning to pull back. Once his auror post was taken from him, Aurelius purchased the necromancy shop in Knockturn Alley, though he works as a hit man on the side as well.
