Sephie is an energetic, determined individual. Her ambition comes in a softer form than others of her alumni, manifesting in unrivaled perseverance to not just obtain her own goals, but to ensure those important to her make theirs. Only slightly mellowed from the wild child days of her youth, Persephone still has a nose for trouble and wants to be in the thick of the action. Sephie has a lot of love to give- romantic, platonic, and mothering- and is fiercely protective of those who matter to her. Whether as a result of her heightened senses or natural intuition, Sephie is bright and perceptive, not much escapes her notice. biography Esmerelda and Icarus had a rare marriage for love among purebloods, the matriarch of the future Anastas family rejecting several suitors picked out by her parents in favor of a younger classmate, though with his being pure of blood, the union was ultimately accepted. Not long into their marriage Persephone was born, but unbeknownst to the enthralled parents, something sinister lurked in their genes, which became evident when at mere weeks old, Persephone transformed into a wolf cub in her crib at full moon. Disgusted and ashamed to have their name tarnished by a werewolf, Persephone was hidden away in the attic bedroom, leaving many under the impression that there was no Anastas daughter. The neglect from her parents intensified following the birth of her younger brother, who, for all intents and purposes, was the perfect son. Perseus was both a male to carry the name, and unmarred by lycanthropy. Esmerelda and Icarus doted on their son openly, while treating their daughter with scorn. Her reprieve from the confines of the attic bedroom came with her Hogwarts letter- seeing it as an opportunity to be free from their cursed child, Persephone was sent away, while Perseus was educated at home by a private tutor. Upon arrival the hat sensed a strength, a hunger, in eleven-year-old Persephone that was yet to be realized, and sorted her into Slytherin. Out from beneath the oppressive thumb of her parents, Persephone adopted the shortened nickname Sephie, and quickly began to act out in an effort to obtain the attention she had never gotten at home. Sephie was a generally poor student, not for lack of smarts, but lack of care, and would frequently end up in trouble. She found grounding in a friend she made her second year, an ambitious, studious girl named Piper Steele. They were thick as thieves, Sephie learning a thing or two about the importance of education along the way, though still remained a bit of a troublemaker. Sephie found purpose in a detention in fourth year where she was made to clean the hippogriff paddock. Sephie was a natural with the creatures, and often began to return to their enclosure of her own accord, even helping Hagrid with some of the other creatures. Passion for creatures was not her only takeaway from detentions, a future instance introduced her to a boy named Felix, in her year but a different house. Their relationship unfolded slowly, mostly due to their collective obliviousness to their feelings, and partly due to Sephie not really wanting to be exclusive. Eventually near graduation Sephie and Felix found an arrangement that worked for them, allowing them both to have their feelings for one another, and for other people. Thrown out by her parents after graduating, and finding out of an early pregnancy, Sephie and Felix quickly married to take on the world together with the help of anyone else they took interest in. The young couple managed to get by, Sephie taking an internship under Hagrid when their first child was a toddler. In her mid-twenties Sephie joined the Children of the Moon, finding a sense of belonging that had been lacking, not just a family, a pack. Along the years Sephie and Felix had two more children, and she took over the post of Care of Magical Creatures professor following Hagrid's retirement. When her eldest child reached early teens they came out as genderfluid, changing their name to Lavender- which Sephie fully supported, their family never had been conventional. Juggling work, her family, her alliance, and multiple partners has lead Sephie into a chaotic lifestyle, though she finally feels as though she has a home despite the events of the world around her. She is prepared to fight tooth and nail to keep her children, partners, and beloved creatures safe.
