biography matthew and farrah met when they were children, though matthew’s parents were anything but receptive of the female. in a time where your blood defined you, they saw farrah as nothing but a creature. and so matthew stopped seeing who he considered a close friend, instead being sent away to durmstrang institute where he was taught the way of the wizarding world. it wasn’t until he had graduated and moved on with his life that they managed to cross paths again, in a small restaurant off the coast of italy. though farrah had long since brushed away the betrayal of being cut off as a young child, matthew still insisted he take her out to dinner as an apology. such was the first of many dinners, and soon a romance between the two blossomed. seraphina was a surprise, though a welcome one at that. her parents, married three years prior, had been traveling around europe and fleeing responsibility when farrah became with child. quickly they made the efforts to settle back down in france, though they vowed never to lose their ability to adventure. such was a vow they came to instill on young seraphina. from her first year attending the beauxbatons academy of magic, seraphina excelled in magical studies. she had a knack for learning and strong magical blood, a combination that in itself allowed her to exceed expectations. it wasn’t without cost, however; she found people still wary of her and her status. despite this, she continued forward in her studies, ultimately landing herself a place on the beauxbatons prefect team. though with her skills she was encouraged to pursue a career with the ministry, seraphina as a young nineteen-year-old didn’t find herself called to that profession. instead she continued to studies and trained under a current professor at the academy, becoming an intern for nearly six years. ultimately, when seraphina came to terms with the fact that she wouldn’t be able to accomplish what she went at the academy, she began to seek out other areas of opportunity. from there, a position at hogwarts caught her eye. though she desired to be a professor at the academy she had excelled in, being a simple intern wasn’t enough for the female. instead, she reached out the headmaster at hogwarts and inquired. her skills learned in her schooling came in handy, and landed her the position she so desired. now, this upcoming september, will be her first year as professor in the school. though her parents still reside in france, seraphina communicates with them often. they only support her recent move, and as such, she desires only the best for herself and her pupils. in this changing world, she is prepared to teach them the best.
