Because of his mother's age when he was born, Art was raised by his mother's parents until Amelia was old enough to handle him on her own. It was easy to tell that this child wasn't entirely human, and after many trips to St. Mungo's, it was revealed that Artain was, in fact, half-werewolf. This revelation led to his grandparents treating him a great deal differently. Where they had once been kind, caring, and encouraging to him, they now held Art at arm's length, not wanting to associate their family name with a half-breed. School became a sort of refuge for the boy, but the treatment he got was much of the same as his grandparents. It turned him into someone rather cold and closed-off, and honestly, rather bitter. His status made it hard for him to find employment after graduating, and to garner respect in any of the establishments he had managed to find jobs in, leading to him quitting. RP SAMPLE Excused.
