Damari's grandfather was a convicted Death Eater, and his own father barely escaped severe punishment for being one. After the war, his father and mother, upon having children, allowed them to decide their own alliances, but tried to steer them away from the Death Eater influence that had wreaked havoc on their lives. Damari, as the eldest-born Malfoy, and only male birthed to the couple, faced the legacy head-on through his schooling years. It was a hard one to break, and the pureblood elitist ideals were difficult to completely wipe from his family's teachings, and so while he was encouraged to pursue any opportunity, many of the ideals he had grown up with aligned with some of the darker community. Of course, he couldn't sully the family name and join the Death Eaters, permanently ostracizing his parents, but he did support them. He spent most of his years in schooling never quite settling on a girl; they would come and go and he paid them no mind. His intents were set upon his studies, until she came along. Vitoria had captured his attention, winning his heart in the process, and he courted her during his seventh year, marrying her nearly two months after the school year ended. She was a Death Eater, and cemented his support to the cause, but is careful to keep that bit of information under wraps, knowing it would endanger not only his status, but his position as an Auror in the Department of Magical Law, which he earned from his powerful and elegant magical abilities.
