Noa is her father's daughter, or at least tries to be. She has a thirst to prove herself, an almost unquenchable drive to succeed, and when coupled with her cunning, strategic mind, makes Noa a prime example of her former house. Beneath the poised and proper demeanor, however, lurks a closet of skeletons. Noa at her core is deeply insecure, her pride easily wounded, this is tightly guarded by a sarcastic sense of humor, and a potent rage that is provoked at the slightest touch. She desperately wants to be seen as, not just capable, but as great, the best, the perfectionism is often her downfall. family information
biography From the day she was born, Noa Jael Raymon was the perfect image of success. The first daughter, yet second born child (as she should be) of Aurelius and Uriela Raymon was molded from infancy. As she grew up, Noa was taught all the things a pureblood young woman should know. Arts, history, music, language, literature, etiquette. Noa excelled in her studies, but still she craved more. Fortunately, in her life there were adults besides her weak-spined mother who saw her potential, and sought to foster it. Even from a young age Noa proved to have a certain edge to her that her elder brother Gideon did not. By the time she reached Hogwarts age she pulled away entirely from Uriela's nurturing, instead finding herself drawn to her father's mistress, Marianna Lestrange. Under the watchful eye of the Dark Lady and her father, Noa matured into a gifted, ambitious witch, always hungry for the next step, the next goal, the next achievement. It led her to be staunchly competitive in her school years, wanting nothing more than to be better than everyone else, though her efforts often fell short. Despite Noa's devotion, it seemed neither of the adults she idolized thought highly enough as she would like. It cut deeply, leading to a lifetime of stifled insecurity, to which Noa only threw herself harder into achievement- even learning, and near-perfecting, her skills in legilimency under Marianna. The reprieve from the constant pressures came in the form of a very dear friend in Marigold Rosier. Raised in similar circumstances, the girls bonded deeply, at times Noa felt closer to her than her own sister, though she'd never admit it aloud. At barely seventeen the pair of them joined the ranks of the Death Eaters together, Noa using her proximity to Marianna to get Goldie closer to the inner circle. Though when all seemed to be going to plan, everything fell apart. Their first real assignment was the attack on Hogsmeade in April 2022. Noa leaned into the carnage, but Goldie was horrified. Noa's lifetime companion defected, leaving her alone in the wake of Marianna and Aurelius' departure to France. The abandonment by both her mentors and her best friend were too much for Noa. Her famous temper snapped further than it ever had, and with it a scheme arose. With the help of a new fiance, a strategic, loveless arrangement with Damian Wolfe, Noa too defected. Though rather than running to the Order, Noa instead sought to usurp Marianna, forming a group better and more powerful than the Death Eaters could have hoped. Serving a mortal woman had had its uses, but servitude to Death itself had greater strength. Later, a vision stolen from Josie Potter had a snippet that could grant her power beyond her wildest dreams. Noa jumped in with both feet, she and Damian announced the arrival of the Kindred in glorious fashion- a coordinated attack on safehouses held by the Order of the Phoenix and the Children of the Moon. The carnage was splendid, but also a double-edged sword- that fateful July day saw the death of Noa's mother at the hands of Marianna herself. Noa still feels conflicted in her feelings about her mother's betrayal of her father, and of her untimely death, but is stifling those feelings in favor of her warpath, wanting vengeance, power, and to prove everyone wrong.
